Years ago, you were taught to push your feelings away
"stop making a fuss"
"you're ok"
“don’t be so sensitive”
[insert phrases of choice from your childhood]
These days, you know when you’re feeling… something
Maybe you call it “bad”, “weird”, or “anxious”.

You tell yourself there’s no real reason to feel upset, you're just being silly. So you keep trying to push through. Anxiety should go away eventually if you just keep going… right?
But the bad feeling doesn’t go away, so you slap some shame on top of it for good measure. Asking yourself “what’s wrong with me that I keep feeling like this?”
In my free "All feelings great and small" webinar I’ll show you how to tune in:
Identify what you're really feeling
Recognise how specific feelings show up in your body
Figure out what actually helps (not what everyone seems to think should help)
With consistent practice you’ll finally know whether you’re hungry, angry, or overstimulated!
You'll learn that when your head is that flavour of buzzy, the best thing to do is go for a walk, (or call a friend, or have a nap…).
You’ll know whether you’re anxious because you’ve got a big day ahead tomorrow, or because something just poked an old fear you’ve been sitting with since childhood.
Over time, you'll notice you're utterly drained every Wednesday afternoon, and you’ll start to make structural shifts that help: Adding intentional preparation, accommodations and recovery time. Or even dropping some stuff from your diary altogether.
You’ll start to use your inner compass to build a life more aligned to your true wants, needs and values

Hi! I'm Ellen from Feelings Unjumbled
When anyone asked 10-years-ago me how she really felt, she panicked
She genuinely had no idea.
Whenever she did start to feel something, her brain would immediately explain in great detail why she definitely, absolutely, couldn’t be feeling that.
Eventually I realised I couldn't sustain living so cut off from my feelings
I became an emotions detective and tried out every feelings tool I came across.
70+ books and 15+ modalities later I realised "I'm getting good at this", and certified as a coach to help others on the same journey.
The final piece of the puzzle was being diagnosed autistic in my 40s.
That's when I realised that not all feelings are emotions
Nervous system signals like overstimulation need a different approach, but it can be extremely hard to tell the difference if you're not used to tuning in.
